ABSTRACT

When was the last time you trimmed your nails? Dr. Marie Claire's theory that trimming nails can impair your vision turned out to be accurate. She handpicked six students from Santa Rosa College to help her do the experiment. The students then were separated into two groups. Group A was to grow their nails and trim them as less as possible. Meanwhile, Group B was asked to grow and trim their nails frequently. Over few years it showed that group A has more protein known as F4/80 which helps eye cells than group B. Since nails are mainly made up of protein the team believed that trimming nails occasionally can preserve protein that helps cell communications in eyes. The conclusion is that nails may play an important role in improving your vision.
